Tarek El-Gohary oversees East Coast operations, including four offices in New York, one office in Pennsylvania and one office in Illinois. He is also the President, and co-founder of SmartWatt Electrical, SmartWatt Energy's sister company. Tarek joined the SmartWatt Energy team in 2006 as General Manager of the Rochester, NY, office. In that role he oversaw a staff of five and helped drive sales. Prior to joining SmartWatt Energy, Tarek was a Software Engineer at Torrey Pines Research and a Systems Integration Consultant at Cabot Corporation. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Brockport. In his spare time, Tarek enjoys fishing, boating and camping. He lives in Rochester, NY, with his dog, Izzy, who can often be seen protecting the halls in the Rochester office.
