SmartWatt Energy is the sole Implementation Contractor and Administrator for National Grid's Small Business Direct Install Energy Efficiency Program in Central NY and Northern NY. In 2010, SmartWatt Energy helped customers in Central NY save 25,000 + MWh of energy, which translates to approximately $2.75 million in savings.
 
For business customers with an average demand use of 100 kW or less per month, we can help reduce your company's energy costs by installing energy-efficient equipment. We can provide a free energy audit and a report of recommended energy-efficiency improvements. National Grid will pay up to 70% of the cost of the installation of energy-efficient equipment and you can finance the remaining share interest free for up to 24 months. Cost-cutting, energy-efficient equipment available through this program includes:

  • Photo Cells for Outdoor Lighting
  • Occupancy Sensors
  • Programmable Thermostats
